From Thursday, June 23, through Sunday, June 26, the New Jersey Defense Association will hold its 50th Annual Convention and President's Gala in Newport, Rhode Island. Join us to earn half of your CLE credits with great seminars. After the seminars, enjoy Historic Newport including tours of the Mansions of the Gilded Age, local vineyards, sailing, golfing, shopping and the other sites Newport has to offer. On Friday night, join us for a wonderful cocktail hour and conclude the weekend on Saturday night for an evening of fun, friends, and dancing to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
How to Register
First, please download and print the Registration Form (provided below). Once printed, complete the form with your registration information. After completing the form, please send it to our Executive Director:
After submitting the registration form, online payment of the registration fee(s) can be made using the buttons below.
The last step is to make the appropriate hotel reservations with the Newport Marriott. Reservations can be made through the Marriott Reservation Department by calling 1-800-228-9290 or 401-849-1000.
Please identify as part of New Jersey Defense Association when making reservations.
Standard Double Room = $289.00 per room, per night
Hotel rooms are subject to applicable state and local taxes.
Cut-off date: June 2, 2016 - The Hotel will release the room block as of 4 p.m. After cut-off date, regular rates apply and rooms are subject to availability.

The newly renovated Marriott has an exclusive waterfront location and is within minutes of all Newport has to offer. The hotel offers amenities including the great room with a day/night bar, outdoor terrace and pool and a luxury spa. Enjoy the vibrant streets and enticing waters in Newport. You are just minutes away from the Cliff Walks, Newport Mansions and the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Our educational programs will be held on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, and offer 6 CLE credits, including 1 Ethics credit. Our Seminars will include a variety of topics and speakers, including experts.
Our events begin with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening. There will be a cocktail reception Friday evening, followed by dinner on your own. After the Saturday morning program, our annual golf tournament will be held nearby. On Saturday evening, we will hold our black tie optional President’s Reception and Gala, which will include a fantastic cocktail hour followed by an evening of events and dancing.
