Summary

Nestled in the mountains surrounding Lake Placid, NY, Whiteface Lodge is located in the heart of the Adirondacks.   The Lodge offers the idyllic setting you would expect to find at the “Northeast’s Best Mountain Resort.”  It has received numerous awards including being named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List.  I encourage you to visit the hotel’s website, www.thewhitefacelodge.com, to check out the beautiful grounds, suite accommodations, and abundant amenities.

Our educational programs will be held on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, and offer 6 CLE credits, including 1 Ethics credit.  I am excited to announce that this year’s Convention will include a keynote-presentation by  Matthew G. Moffett, Esq., Past President of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, who will discuss defense strategies for combating the plaintiff bar’s use of  “reptile theory.”  The CLE programs will also include presentations related to accident reconstruction, plaintiff’s growing attempts to disguise non-economic damages as economic damages, marijuana in the workplace, controlling your witness during cross-examination, construction liens, important cases decided within the past year and ethics.

Our events begin with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening.  The annual golf tournament will take place Friday afternoon, and on Friday evening, we will enjoy a lakeside cocktail reception followed by dinner on your own at the Lodge or any of Lake Placid’s delicious restaurants.  Your Saturday afternoon is free to enjoy as you wish, see Lake Placid’s Olympic venues, hike in the Adirondacks, or relax at the Spa with a 15% discount.  On Saturday evening, we will hold our President’s Reception and Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner.
