Recap: Women and the Law 2018
/The New Jersey Defense Association held its 9th Annual Women and the Law Seminar on Monday, November 12, 2018. The successful event was attended by over 150 members and non-members. The presentations included panel discussions from the Judiciary, Corporate Counsel, Plaintiff and Defense Attorneys and Young Lawyers. There was also an excellent presentation on Diversity & Inclusion featuring Cultural Competency for the 21st Century Lawyer. Some comments from the surveys indicated the attendees appreciated “the approach of the subject from different perspectives,” “the variety of the speakers and their input.” Our annual Dress for Success drive held in conjunction with this seminar was a great success, providing interview appropriate clothing for women who are trying to get back on their feet and provide a better life for themselves and their families.
